Why Krakow and Coffee?
Krakowis a cultural city. It is self appointed capital of Culture of Poland and in 2000, it was the European Capital of Culture. A cultural city is oftenly known for its creative inhabitans that, when they meet, create new revolutionary ideas about the world, universe and everything. That is why a creative, cultural city needs to have good meeting places where the creative minds can interact.
What could be better and more creative than meeting over a cup of coffee? Coffee stimulates the brain activity in a positive way, makes a connection between the coffee drinkers and creates breathing space in a stressful life. Coffee is connected to rest, happiness, meeting with friends and pleasant social habits. Coffee gives you a reason for going to the cafe, to interact with the other coffee drinkers and to open your mind for new ideas. The cafes could be said to be the blood system that brings energy to all other organs in a creative city, as Krakow.
Krakow do have many of these energy refilling places, so called cafes. It is said that in Krakow, there is actually over 700 of them. We want to explore this culture, the coffee culture of Krakow. In the same time, we hope to be able to spot the energy flow of creative minds in this city. That is why our mission is to visit 100 out of these 700 cafes. Tough challenge? Yes, but we are in. Are you?
